Savannah City Council removes pit bull ban


SAVANNAH, Mo. - The next time Savannah residents are at an animal shelter, there's one dog they can now bring home.

Savannah City Clerk Beth Kar told KXCV/KRNW that this updated ordinance also applies to other pit bull-like breeds.

There are still several cities and communities are listening area that have a pit-bull ban in effect, like Chillicothe and Trenton. Some pit bull bans in our area do have exemptions, like if a pit bull is deemed a service animal.
